Due to constant diaspora influenced by several factors in which poverty ranked as number one, a greater pool of well-to do Filipino professionals leave their country seeking for a greener pasture leaving us with weak manpower resource. All of the good doctors, nurses, lawyers etc. have left leaving us the problem of health force deficit. Not to mention other workforce sectors, it is now quite alarming that even the government is trying to win people to be medical professionals by giving great allowances and big discounts on tuition fees in their schooling so as to fill in the gaps that is thwarting our health care system. But it did not stop the trend. Reality might be just too hard to digest. But this is happening so fast that a majority of people do not really care.
And to those who are not mentioned above? Well, they found I mean we found our reason, a place to stay -- the BPO call center.
BPO owners see Filipinos as their miracle worker and as to us, they are the miracle to our financially -starved economy. Why I consider Filipinos as a miracle to them relies on our capability to be the super employee, the employee they always dreamed of. We have westernized culture thus we can understand them just as Americans do. Majority of our population speak American English and even learn to put accents on it. We have strong work ethics. We have a friendly and jolly nature that are just a few of the admirable characteristics that make us great sounding over the phone and the list goes on.
BPO owners and the Filipinos are in need with one another that they move hand in hand towards the success of BPO industry in the Philippines.
With its positive cascading effects, millions of Filipinos were given jobs, were paid with salaries same as that of the managers in some day time jobs, become family breadwinners, multiplied the number of RP graduates by funding their relatives' education, realized their dreams etc. Last but not the least, they make more revenue to RP economy which subsequently improve the Filipino lives in general.
